746 Squadron Sponsoring Committee

The 746 Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron Sponsor Committee (SSC) is a society that provides supplementary funding to support the activities of the local Air Cadet squadron, as requested by the Squadron's Commanding Officer (CO). The SSC can sponsor additional activities and training not covered by the Department of National Defence (DND). Without the Sponsor Committee (SSC), activities such as Power Flying, Marksmanship Training, Drill Training, Squadron Cadet Trips and much, much more would not be possible.

Parent involvement is crucial to our success! Whether you're able to drive during fundraising or you'd like to join the committee, please email our Committee Chair to find out how we can use your help.

*Note: Regular volunteers, including those on Sponsor Committee Board, sub-committees or regularly assisting with activities, are required to undergo registration and security screening.

Meetings

Routine Board meetings are for elected board members who vote on the business of the Society; however, any parent/guardian is welcome to attend.  The Squadron Sponsoring Committee meets the FIRST TUESDAY of every month in Classroom #2 at the squadron HQ.

The Annual General Meeting is held in October each year and is open to all parents/guardians who are members of the 746 Sponsor Committee Society. All parents are welcome to attend and encouraged to sign up as a volunteer.

Governance

The 746 Royal Canadian Air Cadet Sponsor Committee society operates under the BC Society Act and is a registered charity with the Canada Revenue Agency.
