The aim of the training is to introduce Air cadets to the CSTC environment and exposes them to CSTC program areas of interest.

Level 1 successfully completed by the end of the current training year. (12-14 yrs of age)

DRILL AND LEADERSHIP

COURSE NAME

COURSE

The aim of the training is to prepare cadets to perform the role of a peer leader while building upon the leadership and drill and ceremonial knowledge and skills learned through the sqn program.

Level 2 successfully completed by the end of the current training year. (13-15 yrs of age)
DRILL  AND CEREMONIAL
COURSE
INSTRUCTOR COURSE

The aim of the training is to develop a specialist with the skills and subject matter knowledge required to be an instructor and team leader for drill and ceremonial activities.

Level 3 successfully completed by the end of the current training year. (14-17 yrs of age)

AVIATION TECHNOLOGY AND AEROSPACE

BASIC AVIATION TECHNOLOGY AND AEROSPACE COURSE

The aim of the training is to further develop in cadets the fundamentals of Aviation Technology and Trades and inspire them to pursue specialist training in this subject area.

Level 2 successfully completed by the end of the current training year. (13-15 yrs of age)
ADVANCED AEROSPACE SCHOLARSHIP COURSE

The aim of the training is to develop a specialist with the skills and subject matter in Aerospace technologies and space travel. Cadets applying for this course must go through a selection board process.

- St. Jean, QC
Level 3 successfully completed by the end of the current training year. (14-17 yrs of age)

ADVANCED AVIATION TECHNOLOGY SCHOLARSHIP COURSE - AIRCAFT MAINTENANCE 

The aim of the training is to develop a specialist with the skills and subject matter in Aircraft Maintenance. Cadets applying for this course must go through a selection board process.

ADVANCED AVIATION TECHNOLOGY SCHOLARSHIP COURSE - AIRPORT OPERATIONS  

The aim of the training is to develop a specialist with the skills and subject matter in Airport Operations. Cadets applying for this course must go through a selection board process.

ADVANCED AVIATION COURSE

The aim of the training is to develop a specialist with the skills and subject matter knowledge required to be an instructor and team leader for aviation activities within the Air cadet program

Level 3 successfully completed by the end of the current training year. (14-17 yrs of age)

GLIDER PILOT SCHOLARSHIP COURSE

The aim of the training is to certify cadets with a Transport Canada Glider Pilot License. Cadets applying for this course must go through a selection board process.

Level 3 and Grade 9 successfully completed by the end of the current training year. (16+ yrs of age)
POWER PILOT SCHOLARSHIP COURSE

The aim of the training is to certify cadets with a Transport Canada Power Pilot License. Cadets applying for this course must go through a selection board process.

Level 4 and Grade 10 successfully completed by the end of the current training year. (17+ yrs of age)

SURVIVAL TRAINING

The aim of the training is to further develop in cadets basic survival skills and inspire them to pursue specialist training in this subject area. This will allow them to participate as a skilled junior cadet in survival training as part of the sqn program.

SURVIVAL INSTRUCTOR COURSE

The aim of the training is to develop a specialist with the skills and subject matter knowledge required to be an instructor and team leader for aircrew survival activities within the Air cadet program.

FITNESS & SPORTS TRAINING

BASIC FITNESS AND SPORTS COURSE
The aim of the training is to prepare cadets to perform the duties of a Basic Fitness and Sports Assistant while continuing to develop personal fitness and healthy living skills.

Level 2 successfully completed by the end of the current training year. (13-15 yrs of age)
FITNESS AND SPORTS INSTRUCTOR COURSE

The aim of the training is to develop a specialist with the skills and subject matter knowledge required to perform the role of a fitness and sports instructor and a team leader for fitness and sports activities conducted at the squadron, during regionally directed activities and/or as a staff cadet at a CSTC.

MARKSMANSHIP

AIR RIFLE MARKSMANSHIP INSTRUCTOR COURSE
The aim of the training is to develop individual air rifle marksmanship and summer biathlon specialty skills while reinforcing and further developing the leadership and instructional techniques skills preparing the cadets to support these two specialty activities at the sqn, during regionally directed activities and/or as a staff cadet at a CSTC.

MUSIC

The aim of the training is to develop the music proficiency (starting at beginner and up to level 2 music) of cadets and prepare them to
support their Sqn bands and related music activities.
This course is available in both Military Band and Pipe Band.

Level 2
successfully completed by the end of the current training year.
INTERMEDIATE MUSICIAN COURSE

The aim of the training is to develop the music proficiency (starting at level 2 music) of cadets and prepare them to
support their Sqn bands and related music activities.
This course is available in both Military Band and Pipe Band.

Level 3
successfully completed by the end of the current training year.

The aim of the training is to develop the music proficiency (starting at level 3 music) of cadets and prepare them to

INTERNATIONAL AIR CADET EXCHANGE

INTERNATIONAL AIR CADET EXCHANGE
The purpose of the IACE is three-fold: to promote friendship and goodwill among Air Cadets of the participating countries, to encourage participants to develop an interest in international affairs and to reward those Air Cadets who have rendered outstanding services to their Sqn over a period of years.

-Various Length depending on Locations selected to attend.
Level 5 successfully completed by the end of the current training year. (16+ yrs of age)

2 week courses –  9 Jul - 20 Jul, 23 Jul - 3 Aug, 6 Aug - 17Aug.
3 week courses –  9 Jul - 27 Jul, 30 Jul - 17 Aug 
6 week courses - 9 Jul - 17 Aug
7 week courses - 9 Jul - 24 Aug
